From Child's Dream to Magic Reality: My Encounter with David Copperfield

28 years ago, when I was just 7 years old, a dull, unsmiling child, I turned on the television and watched the TV special of David Copperfield. Since then, I fell in love with magic, setting off on my own magical journey that has led me to who I am today.

28 years later, I finally had the opportunity to witness his live theatre show. At the Magic Live convention, I also had the chance to meet him in person. As he slowly approached our booth, I knew I was about to showcase my own creations to the person who started my journey of magic.

Midway through the performance, I felt an unusual sensation in my hands... If I made a mistake, I would be doomed! But my body had a special mechanism – when I felt nervous, I instantly told myself, "Don't panic, take it slow, and execute it precisely." Just like that, after being nervous for two seconds, I returned to a normal state.

In the moment of where the cube solved instantly (RD Insta), I saw his eyes light up. He must have liked it. I asked if I take a photo with him. “Of course.” He said. He picked up my phone… and took a selfie. “Make sure to capture the logo as well!”

The next morning, he brought others to my booth again, very excitedly inviting me to perform the piece I showcased the previous day for the people around him. He even recorded the entire process with his phone, glancing at others' reactions from time to time. "Good stuff, very smart people," he said. Finally, he shook my hand with both of his.

It’s like my journey goes full circle.
